The New Theatre Royal Portsmouth has launched its new What’s On brochure for Summer 2023 featuring a huge variety of shows and events for all ages.

The brochure includes everything from family-friendly community youth theatre and dance productions to the full range of professional shows, including Comedy, Drama, Opera and Ballet and of course the Christmas favourite Aladdin our 2023 Pantomime. Highlights include:
- The Best of Hans Zimmer and John Williams by Moonlight – A chamber orchestra performs the music of some of the world’s most famous film composers, under a giant moon.
- Francis Rossi – The Status Quo frontman performs a solo acoustic show.
- Crimes on Centre Court – A hilarious comedy murder mystery set in the world of tennis.
- Bridget Christie: Who Am I? – A menopause laugh-a-minute stand-up comedy show which will also have live captioning.
- Brian Butterfield Place Holder Name Tour : Peter Serafinowicz will appear live on stage as Brian Butterfield for the first time this year, and in Portsmouth!
- Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain – The hit West End show, full of crazy new characters and rude new rulers from Britain’s barmy past!
- Lee Mead: The Best of Me – Star of Television and award-winning West End leading man embarks on his brand-new UK tour.
- The House With Chicken Legs – Based on Sophie Anderson’s much-loved novel, the story comes to life with puppets, live music and magic in this co-production from award-winning theatre company Les Enfants Terribles and HOME Manchester.
The New Theatre Royal Portsmouth is a Victorian Grade II* listed Phipps/Matcham theatre right in the heart of Portsmouth.
