New Theatre Royal is offering members of the public across the region a once in a lifetime opportunity to become part of this beautiful Victorian theatre’s history.

BBC broadcaster Paul Jones; acclaimed singer-songwriter Beatie Wolfe; Wave 105 presenter Rick Jackson; the Minghella family; actors Sheila Hancock CBE, Joanna David, Edward Fox CBE, Tim West CBE and Prunella Scales CBE; international ‘Hoofer’ Lee Payne are among those who have joined the campaign to take a seat.

Paul Jones commented, “Treasured memories from my teens, thrilling restoration progress now and great expectations of things to come – this fabulous theatre will always be close to my heart.”

The opportunity to name a seat costs just £215 when booked in our first year of opening. The sponsored seats will display each sponsor’s name on a plaque for the life of the seat. Open to everyone, the seats can be used as a unique gift, as a dedication to a loved one, to promote a business or as a way of showing your support for the theatre.

The Guildhall Walk theatre will open later this year following a $4.5m rebuild and refurbishment programme which includes a fantastic new creative learning centre dedicated to the memory of Oscar winning writer and director Anthony Minghella.
