We’re taking part in a special educational needs and disability (SEN/D) conference on Thursday 10th March aimed at those working within settings such as schools, hospitals and hospices.

The conference is designed to discuss and explore ways of engaging young people in accessible arts by integrating the arts into these environments.

The SEN/D conference is being hosted by the EVOLVE consortium in collaboration with SoCo Music Project, a non profit organisation that works closely with the community to provide positive opportunities in music and the creative arts.

EVOLVE is an Esmée Fairbairn Foundation funded inclusive arts consortium between Aspex Gallery, New Theatre Royal and the Portsmouth Cultural Trust.

The conference will take place at Portsmouth Guildhall and costs £20 per person with lunch and refreshments included. To sign up to the SEN/D conference please email marie@socomusicproject.org.uk.

New Theatre Royal already has various EVOLVE events planned for 2016, including storytelling, dance to communicate classes, creative games and family workshops. Click here to find out more
